Welcome to FedLink 

FedLink is an innovative and cost-effective solution for enabling secure communications between Australian Government agencies across insecure links. It is a dynamic encryption mechanism that provides secure and trusted communications across any medium, including the Internet. This allows Commonwealth departments and agencies to transmit and receive information securely up to and including the non-national security classification of PROTECTED, and the national security classification of RESTRICTED. 

FedLink also provides an evolutionary path to secure electronic business transactions and full multimedia applications. It promotes a new era of secure information management and exchange for all Australian Government agencies. FedLink was fully implemented in 2001, making access available to all federal agencies.

 FedLink uses existing agency Internet gateways and the connectivity provided by the Internet to create a secure Government Intranet.
